Written and visual communication has been at the heart of Philip’s work for the last 30 years.
He’s written snappy little scripts for 90 second business videos and weighty 100 page reports for Imperial College and the UK Energy Research Council. As a TV edit producer he wrote the voice-over for several BBC and ITV factual observation series. As a ghostwriter his confidential commissions have included thought leadership pieces and director statements. He’s worked on white papers in the energy arena, drafted sustainability reports in the retail and property industries, and devised corporate narratives and brochure copy in the banking sector. Recently he authored an anniversary book for the Garfield Weston Foundation celebrating 60 years of charitable giving.
Philip is an award-winning screenwriter and, under the moniker of The Inky Wordsmith, he also creates bespoke poems and song lyrics for special occasions, both personal and business.
A long time ago, back in the 20th Century, he read English Literature at Cambridge University before working for several years in the City as a political and financial risks broker.
